All students should be prepared for class with the appropriate uniform
and proper shoes. All hair shoulder-length or longer must be up and away
from the face. Warm-ups may be worn with teacher permission only. Students
may not participate unless they have the appropriate dance shoes. NO STREET
SHOES IN THE STUDIOS!
Attendance
- Absences - Students who miss more than 3 classes per subject, between
January and May, may be unable to perform in the recital.
- Tardiness - No one will be admitted to class if they are more than
10 minutes late.
- Make-Up Classes – Students who cannot attend a regularly scheduled
class may take a make-up class if available with the same age group
in any form of dance. There will be no refunds or credits for absences.
General
NO GUM in the building. All food and drink must be kept outside or in
the lobby area only. Please notify us of any spills IMMEDIATELY. Help
us maintain a clean lobby. Only students are permitted in the studios.
Cubbies are located in the lobby and dressing room. Always respect others,
help keep our studio clean. Please do not be late picking your child up,
particularly after the last class of the evening. Late “pick-up” charges
will assess at $1 a minute. The staff will be forced to take your child
to their home for pick-up after being 15 minutes late.
Siblings
Please keep siblings of dancers with you and quiet at all times so they
do not distract the classrooms.
Observation -- Classes are closed to the public – only students permitted
in the classrooms. Parents may observe class on scheduled observation
days (1st week of each month) through observation windows beginning in
October. There will be two open class observations – one in November and
one in March. Check your calendar.
Teacher Conferences
If you need to speak with a teacher, please drop them a note at the front
desk. They will be happy to address any concerns that you may have. Avoid
delaying them between classes.
Tuition
Tuition is due the 1st day of each month. You will not receive a bill.
If payment is not received by the 5th of the month, a $10.00 late charge
will be applied. There is a $25.00 fee for any returned check. We now
accept VISA/MASTERCARD for your convenience, and an after-office hour’s
payment box is located next to the front door. You may also elect to have
your credit card automatically debited each month. See the front desk
for details.
Terms & Conditions
MMPAC reserves the right to change days and/or times of classes. In the
event that less than 3 students report to class, at the discretion of
the instructor, class may be shortened 10 to 15 minutes. In the event
a student drops a class, no partial refunds for the month will be made.
Paid in full students, or paid ahead, will be prorated, minus a 10% bookkeeping
fee. All students are required to fill out a medical release form.
Performance Information
All registered students are invited to participate in our annual performance
in May. It is not mandatory. Costumes must be ordered and paid in full
in December in order to participate. You may pay a costume deposit in
October and the balance is due by December 4th. Information packets on
the annual performance will be available in March.
Snow Policy
Call the studio answering machine (301-694-5105). Announcements will be
made by 2:00 pm as to class cancellations. You may also check our website,
www.mmpac.com. Students can make up missed days in any other appropriate
level class during that particular month.
